    1. I'm not sure that the recipes in this are the kinds of things that I, personally, would use much, but I'm giving it five stars because I can't totally rule them out. They're also getting five stars because the authors provide not just nutritional information, but meal plans. It's not just 500-calorie entrées, it's 500-calorie meals. I really like the general EatingWell premise that stuff should taste good but should also be real food and should be prepared using something resembling ordinary me [...]

    2. There are many things I like about this cookbook. First, all the pictures of yummy looking entrees. Second, the main dishes are paired with suggested side dishes. Third, it's in the title, 500 calories. Fourth, there are a lot of useful tips, i.e where to find ingredients, what to keep in your pantry, cooking suggestions, general nutrition information, etc. Fifth, the ingredients are not obscure. So far I have made two recipes and they have been tasty and simple to make. I checked this out from [...]

    3. that braised chicken recipe?! *SWOON*i like this book because it tells me exactly what to make - entree, side(s), possible dessert. as a baker, this is what i need - direction!i'm hoping after a few weeks/months, i'll start to learn how to just put stuff together so i can join the local hydroponic CSA.

    4. Anyone wanting to cook healthier meals should get this cookbook. The recipes are really good and there are lots of pictures. The directions are easy to follow and the ingredients are available at any supermarket. I have really been impressed with it. It is my favorite cookbook.

    5. The recipes in this book are amazing! They are tasty and healthy. The main dishes always have suggestions for a side dish to make it a perfect 500 calorie meal. There are even desserts, like a hot fudge chocolate pudding cake, which was so delicious.

    6. Like the entire series - mostly quick and easy - taste good.Photo available for approx a third of the recipes.I purchased 2 of the books in the series and I usually don't buy cookbooks.

    7. I liked the layout of this one and then emphasis on combining several recipes to come up with tasty 500 calorie meals. It seems Weight Watcher friendly.

    8. Interesting -- great food, great pictures. I just cannot see myself making most of these recipes -- tuna steak, salmon with pepita-lime butter, etc.
