    1. Kudos to Sharon Ricklin Jones! She has easily placed herself in ranks with, Stephanie Meyer, with her book 'Ravenswynd Legends' the first in a four book series. Will there be a book five? I, for one, am keeping my fingers crossed! She has mastered her craft in that she knows exactly how to keep her reader quickly turning the pages, unwilling to lay the book down, having to know what will happen next. Her graphic details in the transition from human to vampire, left nothing lacking. The character [...]

    2. I thoroughly enjoyed Ravenswynd Legends. I never imagined what it might be like to be turned by a vampire, but a few pages in to this story and I had to know. I could not set it down. Now I am thirsting for more. Best read late on a moonlit night, with a flickering candle's dancing shadows and a goblet of wine - color me dark burgundy!

    3. Delicious good read. I could not put this book down, I wanted to know what happened in it. I am now looking forward to reading the second book in this series. Two thumbs up, great story. Plus, I love the cover on the book, the artwork is stunning.

    4. Once in a decade or two an author enlightens their readers and takes them on an astonishing journey that alters the course in character writing or storyline as did author Anne Rice in the book "Interview with a Vampire" in 1979. Decades later Stephenie Meyer author of the "Twilight" started yet another blitz of Vampire authors, sending them all back to their keyboards. Now Sharon Ricklin Jones has accomplished yet a further in depth examination of characters and story. Everything about a charact [...]

    5. A fresh new spin on vampire genre. So glad that I waited to purchase all 4 of the books in the Ravenswynd Series at the same time. After finishing Legends I would not have wanted to wait for a minute more to start on the 2nd book.I love that Sharon has been able to take the long and well loved theme of vampires and create a whole ,wonderful new world to explore. Legends will be revealed and the answers will keep you wanting to discover more. Her captivating characters expertly compliment the tale w [...]

    6. I was twenty-two again, young and beautiful, as curious and adventurous as I was naive, armed with both my twin sister and my best friend, embarking on an audacious journey, in pursuit of a secret legend and maybe even to become sanctioned for eternal membership in this clandestine yet powerfully compelling society. Yet I had already met my soul mate, hadn’t I? What would become of us? Life-affirming, death-affirming, and gripping. A fantastic read that will propel you directly into Elizabethâ [...]

    7. Emrys. *sigh* Emrys! He is to die for! So electrifying! There are scenes in this book that are so good I go back and read them over and over.

    8. As the first book in a series, Ravenswynd Legends was a great introduction in my opinion. A nice, clean, vampire romance that anyone can enjoy. This is not your typical vampire tween escapade. It tells the story of three women: Fiona and twin sisters Melinda (Lindy), and Elizabeth (Lizzy). This is a first person narrative with Lizzy starring as the main character. The beginning was hard for me to follow, well maybe not follow as much as remain focused. The main character's inability to stay locke [...]

    9. This is a really well written book and at times very poetic. It is a newer spin on old Vampire lore which is always nice. Considering I read it in one sitting I guess it's fair to say that it grabbed my attention and didn't let go. Now the downside- with regards to the lovey-dovey, overly saccharin, gushy bits, sometimes more is just mored in this case it is way too much. Overall a good read though and I cannot wait to start the second book tomorrow.

    10. Started out good but then became boring.Hero was too uptight and snobby for my taste. You can only read so many books with insta-love with a pretty vamp as the "plot" until it get's old.

    11. Elizabeth and Melinda are identical twins attending their senior year of college. Elizabeth is the more reserved twin, but her life begins to change when her eyes meet those of a handsome stranger, and there is something about him that draws her in a way she has never experienced. Elizabeth is beautiful, but in no way vain. She is intelligent, innocent, and a little naive. Prophecy brought Emrys in search of Elizabeth, and when he saw her he knew she was meant to be his. He is a traditional man [...]

    12. While the author writes well I found myself at the end thinking there wasn't a whole lot to this story. Maybe because I was expecting a dark read, which this absolutely is not or because I was waiting for the good vs evil, that was not there either although there is mention of a rogue faction and a quick couple pages where the bad guy makes an appearance. This is actually a very quick love story, it is also very light. I'm thinking the author is setting up for the rest of the series and that the [...]

    13. This vampire romance novel is a definite page-turner: it had me hooked from beginning to end. Jones introduces the reader to new, dark, mysterious world of vampire lore and culture, and there is a lot of promise of secrets to be revealed and relationships to be explored in the rest of the series. The cast of characters is varied and captivating, and I confess that the scene when the main character is "turned" left me absolutely breathless! It robbed me of some late night sleep, but then, that's th [...]

    15. A fantastic read! When I first picked up "Ravenswynd Legends" I had no idea how long it would be until I eventually put it down! (I read it all in one sitting) I thoroughly enjoyed Sharon Ricklin Jones and was taken in by the enticing universe she created within it. Never before have I read a vampire novel under which circumstances I actually considered the appeal of what it would be like to want to be a vampire. I really enjoyed the legend Jones created and I cannot wait to read the sequel!

    16. Excellent read. Thoroughly enjoyed this book, looking forward to reading the rest of this series. Would recommend this book to anyone that likes reading about vampires. Received this book as part of the First Reads program.

    17. This was such an interesting book. I enjoyed it for the most part. There were some interesting things that happened. The concept and take on the supernatural in this story was unique. I have to give this book four glittery stars!

    18. Vey fun I love the story but it has a nice feel of romance it's a little bit predictable you could see the developer of the story and you could sometime predict what's going to happen for overall the story is pretty good book is fast funny loving sister, has friendship has character I would like to seeing Liz a little bit more aggressive in the second book overall is a funny fun easy kappa down book I enjoy the story this book and looking for three the second one

    19. I reallyally didn't like this. The story was slow and uneventful. The main character, her twin sister and their friend were awful, self centered snobs who I really just couldn't stand to read about anymore. About halfway through there was just nothing to entice me to read further.

    20. GoodThis is a good book, most of the action is about love. Strong characters and a good story line. So get it and enjoy.

    21. If you're into vampire/human romance, you'll like this book. Well written and an easy read. Leaves plenty of scope for following books in the series.
