    1. Revenge of the Sea is the third novel in the The Captain Shelby Trilogy. It could also be read as a stand-alone novel, but I would recommend reading them in order so that you can understand the importance of Captain Shelby's character in this novel. In this installment of the series, we see Pelican Bay break out in what turns out to be a global (presumably) viral epidemic originating from the sea. It falls to Ethan Hodges and "not-estranged" wife, Morgan-as long as he can convince her to help him [...]

    2. Dollycas’s ThoughtsPelican Bay was my Favorite Book of 2013, Captain Shelby made my Best Reads of 2014, so I have been waiting impatiently for Revenge of the Sea.This time we meet Mr. DM and he takes us on one heck of a voyage. He is one evil man. Can Ethan stop the fate he has set for the world?I do love the way Jesse Giles Christiansen writes. The story just flows with almost melodically. He draws us right in and holds on so tight. But his imagination is scary. The plot is an environmental h [...]

His main character, Ethan, deals with a dark past that haunts him, a ruined marriage that he is obsessed with and to a group of scandalous relationships forced together to save the planet from a catastrophic virus. He doesn’t have any skills to combat the virus and so acts like an outside obs [...]

The book opens with Ethan and the mysterious situation of the starfish. This is an apocalyptic tale that takes you from the first moments of disaster, on a wild ride to the very end and what will either be our damnation or our salvation. There are many interesting characters in the book, players that have equal growth as Ethan despite the story b [...]
