    1. Loved, loved this book! It explores the conflict between fundamental religion against the world of dark magic and voodoo. The characters come alive on the page and transport the reader to a world and time long past. It’s historical fiction at its best! This is a very haunting story dotted with real historical events. The pictures are wonderful too. You don’t want to miss out on this one!
