    1. The cover and title were enticing but this Audible original drama was just not my cup of tea. I didn't like the plot, characters or pace etc The idea of Somali squatters in London and al-Shabab just didn't appeal to me.

    2. 4 stars for the plot, 1 star for the sound production. Plot was pretty good, if predictable. The real problem with this audiobook was the incredibly inconsistent sound quality. The sound effects almost completely overwhelmed a lot of the dialogue, and the sound leveling was way off, with some scenes so loud that the sound distorted through the speakers and other scenes so quiet that it could barely be heard. This is one audiobook I wish I could have read instead.

    3. THIS POST HAS MAJOR SPOILERS. (I thought they were obvious. At least one commenter did not. My bads.)This isn't a book, btw. It's an audio drama. It's about a series of terrorist attacks in London in the near (fictional) future. You know right off the bat, of course, that the enemy turns out to be British. This is one of those unspoken rules. If you're going to have a thriller, you have two options. If the author is one of those arch-conservatives or arch-libertarians trying to protest against pol [...]

    4. Once again I wish there was a half star option. I lean toward 3.5 but I can live with 4.I continue to be impressed by Audibles in house full cast productions. The voice acting and use of ambient noise to create a mental image was done very well. I had very little trouble telling characters apart or imagining their surroundings. The one thing I wish would be available is a list of credits similar to . So often I think I recognize a voice and wish I could quickly look them up to help along my mental [...]

    5. German Review on GosuReviews4.5*Great audible original audio drama, that can easily match up with the great BBC productions. An awesome cast, with many British TV stars and very good sound editing enhanced the whole quality. The story itself is an intriguing thriller surrounding the assassination of the British prime minister, with many twist and turns. It takes a bit of time to differentiate the voices to the different characters, but once you understand who is who, it becomes very fun to listen [...]

    6. 3 Stars for Story, 4 Stars for Narration, 3 Stars for Sound EffectsMini-Review: This audio drama would have been better if they figured out how to balance out the volume levels for background noise and vocal dialogues. You can't have them be as loud as each other and think the whole will make sense. It makes it a bit of work to figure out what's going on. The story wasn't as engaging as I thought it would be and all of the characters are flat with no growth.

    7. Lately I have become addicted to audiobooks. With the kind of services Audible provides, it's hardly a surprise. So this time when I was travelling for a conference I decided to buy a few audiobooks to listen on the flight. What attracted me to this book was my two favourite British actors on the cover - Andrew Scott, who infused a new life into Sherlock's arch nemesis Moriarty, and Freema Agyeman, who played the tenth Doctor's companion Martha Jones after Rose Tyler's exit. Their performances we [...]

    8. Apparently this was written specifically for audible or audio books in general. This is the most hilariously over the top political assassination thriller ever made. But the best thing than the over-acting and scenery chewing by the actors that actually help sell this pieceWWWAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMMM! DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH-DUKUH!THIS sound effect alone made me wish that I had this going in the background everytime I did something munda [...]

    9. i'm not a huge mystery fan or any of that but I really enjoyed this. I usually HATE audiobooks with a passion. This one though was different. It was like listening to an actual show going on! I really enjoyed listening to it and the twist and turns in the story. I'm also a Andrew Scott fan and just even listening to him act is a great thing. Really loved this I"ll probably listen to it again sometime in the future.

    10. I'm sorry, but I could not get into this. I was listening to it on Audible, so maybe it was that - though I'm not sure. This was a DNF for me.

    11. "Six Degrees Of Assination" is a radio play rather than an audiobook. It has a full, very talented, cast and the story is told entirely with dialogue supported by sound effects and punctated with (slightly annoying) "thriller" music to remind you how excited you are.I spent a fun six and half hours on a sunny day, losing myself in the events following the assassination of a British Prime Minister in London.I was convinced by the portrayal of British politics at a time of crisis. These are the ty [...]

    12. 3.0 - Okay story, great narrators, over-the-top sound effectsFast fast paced, somewhat predictable, political thriller set in London in the near future. Starting with the shooting of the Prime Minister, the security services search for the shooter while members of the government jockey to fill take advantage of the situation. This is a radio drama and not a novel, hence it is more of an thrill ride rather than an opportunity for deep plot and character development. It was an enjoyable enough dive [...]

    13. SPOILERS!I'm both sad and angry to have to bring the rating down to two stars, but not even Freema and Andrew could make me swallow two things:1. All this, because women scorned? Jesus, just divorce.2. Whoever voiced the Chinese liaison/mistress needs to learn to speak NOT into the microphone. I could hear every drop of spit move in her mouth before she spoke and it grossed me out immensely, dampening the whole dramatic moment.

    14. This audible drama was good, but a little hard to follow. I enjoyed the performance and all of the sound effects. the British Prime Minister is shot in a crowd and the drama begins with trying to figure out whodunit. There are some interesting side stories going on while getting to the bottom of the assassination, but nothing is sure until the very end. I was way off in my guessing on this one. I will look for more dramas like this, it was like listening to the TV.

    15. Great production on Audible - I couldn’t wait to get back in the car! A bit tricky to keep track of everyone at times but worth the effort

    16. Review Taken From The Pewter WolfOn one day in July, ten years after the horrible events of 7/7, the new Prime Minster visits a charity in East London. The coalition is becoming a distant memory, the economy is on the mend and the country is looking to the future with John Campbell being the leader of the country. Until a man comes out of the crowd and shoots the Prime MinisterMI5 has to find out who this man is and why he did it. Alex Cartwright (Andrew Scott), MI5 Chief Counter Terrorism Offic [...]

    17. I'm not sure where to begin, other than to say that this is one of my rare DNF entries. Calling it a book is a bit of a misnomer- this is really a radio drama, sold through Audible. I was aware of that in advance, and was looking forward to a change of pace. I've always enjoyed the old radio dramas, so I was hoping for a modern take on the concept. The result, however, was a jumbled mess. The cast was large enough that for someone who wasn't familiar with any of them, I struggled to tell them apa [...]

    18. Bought as an audible deal of the day for 2 bucks. Mainly because Andrew Scott is the main character. (Andrew Scott played Moriarty in Cumberbach’s Sherlock) and he (of course) did a wonderful job. Disclaimer, I would listen to Andrew Scott read the telephone book. Not my usually kinda story. but it wasn’t terribly done. The narrators did great. Often in full cast narrations and radio drama I have trouble keeping the characters straight, but that was not the case with this book. I find radio [...]

    19. From the pen of Crime writer MJ Arlidge comes an audio exclusive drama, and it's gripping stuff. Both murder mystery and political thriller, this audio drama feels like watching the TV when you're looking elsewhere.I'm an old hand when it comes to audio works, I've been listening to Big Finish's Doctor Who output since 1999 and this steps up to the mantle very confidently. Indeed, it occurs to me that I've heard very little original audio drama outside Doctor Who (and excluding audio readings); [...]

    20. An enjoyable radio play. It is an exciting political thriller performed as a radio play. The actors carried the story well. My primary issue is that I felt I never really got to know the characters. Listening to this I couldn't help but feel this was designed either as a TV pilot that didn't quite make it, and was extended into this 5 hour play. Or alternatively it was a novel idea that was reduced into this play. The characters needed more filling out in order for the listener to have sympathy [...]

    21. Actual rating: 3.5"Six Degrees of Assassination" is a dramatized audio production about MI5 agents after an assassination attempt on the British Prime Minister. It is a full cast audible drama with music and background noises, everything but visual representation. It is a fantastic production. I felt like I could have been watching the story unfold in front of me. In terms of how well executed this audiobook is, it gets full marks, because it is wonderfully done. The story is well-told and well [...]

    22. It was fine. I liked it more than 2 stars but would have gone 2.5 if gave that option. It was much more of a performance than an audio book and that made it a bit more fun. Although I had to chuckle whenever a gun was in the scene because the slide sound effect was used every time someone was threatened or coming into possession of a gun - even if the same gun had a round chambered several times before actually firing. I imagined a path of unspent rounds as the shooter moved through the scene.I [...]
