    1. Well. That was fast! I don't much like short stories. But since this didn't end on a cliffhanger and I know there are more stories in this series, I'll not complain.Things I liked: The main character isn't a pretty young thing. She's only a couple years younger than me. She is well developed for such a short tale. Next there are two cats that seem to help out quite a lot. THEN it takes place in a library where the main character works. What could I not like. Oh, yeah. It was short.Oh. I forgot t [...]

    2. A short fun read. Personally, I would have liked the book to be a little longer and complicated. I enjoyed the characters and would love to see more of them. One little quibble, Deidre is the cat lady sleuth - but she has only two cats! A true cat lady is more like me -- I have eight of the fuzzy little darlings. Nevertheless, the kitties were fun to read about.

    3. Great! Just finished my first book in this series and loved it. Can't wait to read more of them. I absolutely love books about cats and these are great.

    4. Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books1 star This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.2 stars This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.3 stars This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.4 stars I really [...]

    5. This was such a fast read it seemed like a novella. You step into Deirdre's world and library and right into a murder. Evidently she has a history of crime solving, a tenuous relationship with the police, and a long term loving friendship with Sam. This book needed some proofreading; at one point the name of her fat cat Flipper changed to Skipper; there were some other minor errors as well. The mystery wasn't deep, nor were the characters; however I think there is potential for a nice cozy serie [...]

    6. Just That - A Short Cat Cozy MysteryI liked this short mystery. It was a friendly read. It has all the elements of a novel so the complete story is there. I'm not going to quibble over incorrect grammar or misused commas. It's a short story to be enjoyed and it was. The main characters are well drawn and identifiable. I hope the author adds more details in future books, but the brevity of descriptions doesn't distract from the story. Just be aware that it is a short book and enjoy it.

    7. wicked goodI enjoyed this book. I initially bought it because it was a cozy, set in Maine. I enjoyed a holiday in Maine and this book brought back memories of the small towns there. I certainly identified with the heroine, a woman around my age, with two cats, (although mine are girls) and a librarian. I liked how Diedre related to everyone in solving the murder of Doc. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

    8. Confused, annoyed, and put outMarie Shirley Griffin's ReadI'm confused if one of the cat's in this book is named Flipper or Skipper? Is it a he or a she? No, that's not what the mystery is about, that's what the editor didn't fix.Aside from the editing issues, this just doesn't hold a candle to her "Pattie Lansbury Mystery" on any level. I went back to check that I did have the correct author.I got this for free.

    9. I really wanted to like this book as I so enjoy cozies with animals aiding the sleuth. What a dud.First of all, Deidre came across as a nosy old lady did things that were not just a little over the line but a lot. Revealing the contents of a will which she "accidentally" read? Making judgments about others? Mostly it was too short. I did love the cats

    10. Fast moving fast read Everything moves fast except one of the cats who spends his time observing the other cat. If you have an afternoon to sit, read and be entertained with a quick satisfying conclusion this is for you and then curl up with your cat and enjoy a nap

    11. Too shortToo short. I was expecting more of a story 2nd story better more to it. Characters starting to develop more.

    12. too shortThis book was too short and the mystery was too easy to solve. The cats were the best part since they had very distinctive personalities .

    13. A very short short story. You have a murder and then the solution. Bang it is done. Not much detail or story development.

    14. Fun, quick read!Any animal lover - but especially cat lovers - will enjoy this book. Deidre is the mouthpiece for the true detective, a cat!

    15. Too short, more a novellaBook is ok but the mystery is solved too fast like a tv drama, episode. Too bad because I was looking forward to a good 3 hrs read.
