    1. I loved this book! It's action packed with a good chunk of romance. Awesome, right? It's got something for everyone. The voice and characters are enjoyable and easy to connect with. NOH gives you a MC worth rooting for. Favorite Character: Stretch. A goofy super hero with limbs like spaghetti. He'll make you fall in love, guaranteed.

    2. If you're a fan of superheroes like the X-men, Spider, Iron Men (and judging by how huge these types of shows are in the box office then I think many of you probably are) then you'll love No Ordinary Hero, particularly because Kale is no ordinary hero. What the summary fails to mention (and what we discover in the first few chapters) is that Kale really doesn't have super powers like his father and friends, and that's exactly why they need him to save the world. Neat twist, huh? The emotions tha [...]

    3. I really, really enjoyed this book! I wasn't sure what to expect. It had a very X-Men feel to it, but with younger characters. The voice of Kale was one I never got tired of and each character was well drawn with unique traits and issues they were dealing with. I thought the author did a great job at adding layers to all of them and giving them their own dinstinct vibe and feel. No character sounded like another, which is hard to pull off when you have so many different ones. I thought the subpl [...]

    4. By The Bros on June 19, 2013TweetPin Itno-ordinary-heroes I’m a huge fan of comics and graphic novels so liking this book was super easy! There was a sizable cast of characters which in some books are hard to keep track of, but these guys (and girls) were all so unique keeping them straight wasn’t hard. The author did a really great job of giving each of them their own voice so it was never confusing as to who was doing what when. Kale hit home on a special level with me. Being a 19 year old [...]

    5. AmazingDon't know why I chose, but glad I did. The only thing that bothered me sometimes were how quickly there emotions change. One minute he's choking someone and the next he's having a civilized discussion with them. A tad bit unrealistic, but in a book about superheroes that's expected. Still doesn't take away much of the truly great moments in the book that will have you up for hours glued to page after page.

    6. If you love superheroes and books with male POVs, give No Ordinary Hero a shot! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it! :)

    7. When i first looked at this book, I was like, "Ok, cool. I'll buy it and see how it goes." Now I love this book! I loved the characters, especially Lindsay and X Ray. You can really see the development of all of them, which is really important for a book to fly. I loved how Lindsay started out this hostile, cold person who didn't think she ever needed anybody and had walls all around her. I thought that Kale was going to just click with her immediately, and the world would be saved, and the rest [...]

    8. This one took me by surprise. For the most part the action is safe, saturday morning cartoon safe, and then something happens, and suddenly you realise the stakes are a lot higher. At first I thought that was a mis-step but having now read alll four books I understand that this is what lays the seeds for the rest.

    9. Fairly well written story, although some of the scenarios were a bit over the top. Seriously, death by spatula? A meat tenderiser or blade sharpener may have been more credible.Nevertheless, the story was sufficiently gripping for me to read it in one sitting

    10. I wanted to like it but it was too simplistic. I didn't hate the book but it was barely worth reading. Two and a half stars but not quite 3.
