    1. Another great collection of Justice League of America issues. This one introduces Earth-X; the earth in which Hitler and the Nazis won World War II. Back are Golden Age great like Uncle Sam, The Human Bomb, and the Phantom Lady.Plus witness the return of several founding members of the Justice League. While most of these returns are just for an issue or two temporary team-up, there is one exciting return that actually sticks around! Featuring some of the most interesting and creative story lines [...]

    2. By this point, I think writers have by and large figured out the Justice League. While specific character and personality traits are still largely limited to Green Arrow, the team is handled better as a group, by using smaller groups and utilizing threats that actually fit who's there. Much of what happens here is Justice League cliche, such as the Red Tornado getting trashed, and the Justice Society team-ups, one of which features one of the book's writers getting zapped to Earth-2 and becoming [...]

    3. A very well crafted version of generic super hero beat em ups.Decent writing covers up the fact the stories are almost always the same. A group of borderline heroes faces a foe that at first seems beatable, is in fact almost invulnerable, invariably the team splits up and travels to random sites across the Earth/universe.The mix of heroes is entertaining, obviously because the JLA uses iconic heroes from other magazines that have worked for a long time. There are some uniquely fun stories, like [...]

    4. This is a bit of a nostalgia trip for me as I still have battered copies if many of these comics bought when they first came out. Typical 1970s JLA fare — nothing earth-shatteringly good, nothing earth-shatteringly bad. And good storytelling artwork.

    5. Jolly good fun. These are the stories I remember from my youth. Pretty silly by today's standards but those Nick Cardy covers sure do stand the test of time. Thoroughly enjoyed. Can't wait for the next volume.
