    1. I will admit that I first picked this book up because Ursula Jones wrote it and she is finishing up her sister Diana’s last novel. I will also admit that I didn't put it down because it is very good.I fear that this book is being doomed to obscurity. The publisher, Inside Pocket Ltd seems to have gone out of business, or, at any rate, their homepage says that they have "ceased trading." This is a shame, and I sincerely hope that the copyright has returned to Ursula Jones because this is 1) a g [...]

    2. I really wish more people were finding this book. Great adventure, cast of real characters, and gritty kids who are making things happen in their world. Rarely say this, but kids who liked Harry Potter will find some of the same elements here within a completely different plot: maze-like castle, murdered parents, slow reveal of what really happened all those years ago, and a group of friends muddling along but getting it done. Thumbs up--I enjoyed the milieu and the action keeps the story moving [...]
