    1. This is a solid compilation of poems for teenagers and grown-ups, centered around themes of truth and lies, as titled. The contemporary poets may resonate more with the young adults than the classic poets.

This anthology includes poems f [...]

    3. Actual rating: 3.5 StarsOverall, a very good thematic anthology. I can't say I liked every poem, but I liked many and loved a few. Julia Alvarez's "Bilingual Sestina" is my personal favorite of these, but that may be colored by the fact that one of my friends used this poem in her forensics piece this year. This was not my favorite book of poetry ever, I much preferred James Merrill's Nights and Days, but he had a poem in here too for fans of his work. I would heartily recommend this book as an [...]

    4. This bok of classic and new poets resounds with deceit, lies and what it means to be true. From William Blake's "A Poison Tree" to the "Clay Jug" by Kabir, students will enjoy this short compilation of poetry about truth…and lies. The book itself will be appealing to young adults because of its size: small enough to fit in a pack and carry easily, but they'll also love the weight of its words.

    5. It wasn't my favorite. The poems were okay, just most of them were in a sort of style I don't personally like. But that's no reason for you to think that you won't enjoy it.

    6. This is a great anthology of poetry focused on the theme "what is truth". MOst of the poems are very short, some rhyme and some don't, diverse poets. Good for teaching tool as well as browsing.

    7. This collection of poems was gathered from different eras and cultures, about truth and telling lies. It contains a 43 page bibliography, an index of authors names, and an index of titles.

    8. Great collection of modern and classic poetry about truth, lies, and human experience. I love the introduction as well!
